Get Tech Certified is a UK public sector initiative offering free digital and technology learning pathways and certifications, designed to build skills from beginner to advanced levels.
Delivered by Government Digital and Data in partnership with leading technology providers, the campaign supports everyone from those new to technology through to experienced digital professionals.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is an official Get Tech Certified 2026 training provider.
Attend live virtual classes led by an AWS instructor, work through a self-paced learning plan on AWS Skill Builder, or do both. Completing at least one route makes you eligible to request a certification exam voucher.

Choose a pathway
There are two certification pathways. Pick the one that matches the role you are working towards.
AWS Certified AI Practitioner
An introduction to artificial intelligence, machine learning and generative AI on AWS. Suited to anyone who needs to understand where AI can be applied in their department and how to use it responsibly.
We recommend attending both classes in your chosen pathway and working through the Skill Builder learning plan, so you get hands-on experience. A minimum of one is required to be eligible for an exam voucher.
Live virtual classes
All classes are delivered virtually by an AWS instructor and are limited to 100 places. Register for each class separately — places are first-come, first-served. Joining details are emailed on registration.
All sessions run virtually, in a London (UK) time zone.

Exam vouchers
Who is eligible
To be eligible for an exam voucher you must complete at least one of the following:
- attend a live virtual class on your chosen pathway, or
- work through the Skill Builder learning plan for your chosen pathway.
We recommend doing both, but only one is required.
How to claim
Email ukps-certification@amazon.co.uk and include either:
- your Skill Builder certificate of completion, or
- the date you attended the live class.
Deadlines and limits

Warning: You must sit your exam before 13 February 2027. Vouchers cannot be extended, and expired vouchers will not be replaced.
How we use your data
Programme data notice
Participation data (courses enrolled, exams taken, department-level statistics) will be shared with DCMS to support programme evaluation. No individual names or email addresses will be shared.
